Welcome to PPIE’s 11th Run for Education, an event designed for our entire community. Our 11th Annual event will offers four distances: a 2 Mile, a 5K (3.1 mile) Run or Walk, 10K (6.2 Mile) Run or Walk, and a non competitive Kids' 1/4 Mile Challenge (3-10 years). The 2 Mile, 5K and 10K are stroller and walker-friendly events. (Note: 10K entrants have 1 hour 45 minutes to complete the course).

START TIMES - 10K Start at 7:50 a.m., 2 Mile and 5K Start at 8:00 a.m., Kids' 1/4 Mile Challenge Start at 9:15 a.m.
2 Mile, 5K, 10K & ENTRY INCLUDES
Race entry includes a short sleeve t-shirt (men's, women's and youth sizing available), race timing, commemorative bib number, eligibility for age group and overall awards, finisher medal, and post-race refreshments. All ages are welcome to participate in these divisions; there is no minimum age. Age divisions for the 2 Mile and 5K will be: 7 and Under, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+. Age divisions for the 10K will be 11 and Under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. The top three finishers per gender (male, female, nonbinary) will be awarded a medal to commemorate their top finish in their age division. Age group awards will be based on net (elapsed) time. Overall winners (top finisher per gender across the finish line) will be recognized based on Gun Time.
Virtual Participants will receive a bib number, t-shirt, and finisher medal. Virtual packets can be picked up at Packet Pick Up on April 29th (11am-4pm) or at Fleet Feet Pleasanton starting on May 3rd. See add'itional information below.
KIDS' CHALLENGE ENTRY INCLUDES
The Kids' Challenge is a 1/4 mile fun run (no times or places kept) for children ages 3 to 10. Entry includes a short sleeve t-shirt, commemorative bib number, finisher medal, and post-race refreshments.
PLEASANTON UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT EMPLOYEES
All staff employed by the PUSD are offered a reduced-rate entry. Those registering with PUSD pricing ("PUSD 5K," "PUSD 10K," or "PUSD 2 Mile" categories) must show their PUSD ID Badge at Packet Pick Up to receive bib and t-shirt. If registering on race weekend, must bring ID badge to register. We kindly ask all PUSD employees to register before 4/26 if possible, for a smoother registration process for everyone.
PACKET PICK UP
Race packet pick up will be held on Saturday, April 29th 11am - 4pm. Race day pick up will also be available from 6:30 am onwards, near the finish line at Alameda County Fairgrounds. Plan on arriving at registration at least an hour early if picking up your bib (or registering) on event day (allow additional time for parking). ID is not required to pick up packets and you may pick up for friends or family.
RACE DAY PARKING
Alameda County Fairgrounds will be assessing a $15/vehicle parking fee on race day to park on their property. If parking at the Fairgrounds, please enter from either gate on Valley Ave. You may not access parking off Pleasanton Avenue and the ACE train lot on Pleasanton Avenue will be closed. Participants may also opt to park in Downtown Pleasanton and walk to the Main Gate. If doing so, please be sure to abide by 'no parking' signs on Rose Avenue, Spring Street, Main Street, and First Street.
UNABLE TO ATTEND ON APRIL 30? CONSIDER BEING A VIRTUAL PARTICIPANT!
Our 'Virtual Participant" category exists for those who are unable to attend in-person on event day (Sunday, April 30) but would still like to support the cause. Those registering for this category are invited to complete their 2 Mile, 3.1 mile, or 10K run or walk anytime between April 23 and May 10th. Your elapsed time may be uploaded to our results server at https://results.changeofpace.com (uploading a finish time is optional, not required). Virtual Participants may pick up their packet (shirt, bib, medal) at our packet pick up on Saturday, April 29 or at Fleet Feet Pleasanton, located at 234 Main St. in Downtown Pleasanton, from Wednesday, May 3 to May 15th. A friend or family member may pick up your items for you at either location. Packets will not be mailed.
VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are needed for a variety of pre-race as well as race day tasks, including directing athletes along the course, handing out water and helping with race registration. For more information or to sign up, click the 'Volunteer' tab or link here.
