Join ATOU on a walk through a fun, educational course to raise awareness about bullying. Each day, 160,000 kids don’t go to school because they fear being bullied. We have the power to change this statistic. This event is a fundraiser to advance the work of ATOU, benefitting all schoolchildren, and especially those singled out for isolation and abuse.
The ATOU 1.6 Challenge to End Bullying happens on Saturday October 24th from 9:00 to 12:00 at Maidu School in Roseville. “Challenge Stations” will give you a chance to use many of the tools that people with disabilities employ to meet their goals and objectives. Each station will offer prizes and fun quizzes to learn about bullying, including creative ways we can work together to end the epidemic. Kids with disabilities are 2-3 times more likely to be bullied than their typically developing peers. In addition to the walk, the event will also have exhibitors, live music, Rob Stewart from KVIE, and much more!
