Thank you for your interest in the "Neighborhood Fun Runs!" Our goal for this series of runs is to meet racers in a small, informal setting and introduce them to fun, local businesses and trails through an affordable, relaxed (yet timed) running experience. In most cases, the Fun Run partners with a local charity as well. The nominal registration fee covers a few race company costs and we ask that racers also bring an 'in-kind' donation to the charity which will be collected at the time of the run - usually non-perishible food items or hygiene products. Our hope is that you have a great experience meeting 3W Races and will come back to race with us again at Neighborhood Fun Runs or our other, larger events.
Bring your water bottle, and we'll have coolers for refills available!
This is a super low-key, no-frills race especially for those who don't want a 'high-pressure' or high cost venue, but do want a fun, safe, timed run with their friends. Walkers and people of all ages are welcome!
This is a special edition of the Neighborhood Fun Run... the PB&J PREDICTION RUN. This event costs $10 per person (no processing fees) and a jar of Peanut Butter or Jelly for Growing Home. We'll collect your PB&J on race morning at 8:30AM when you pick up your bib.
We'll run rain or shine or snow.
This is a PREDICTION RUN - and there is a PRIZE for the winner of the closest time....not necessarily the FASTEST. At the start line, we will collect any device that you are wearing or have on your person which can track time/distance. Every runner will be racing with NO MEANS to track their pace except by your own internal clock! (That means.... if you really can't run without your phone or your music, then this is NOT the event for you.) This is only fun and fair when EVERYONE plays by the same rules. Thanks for your cooperation.
During registration, you will tell us your predicted time. The runner who comes in closest to their predicted time (over or under) is the WINNER!
If you have any questions about this race, click the button below.
Part of your registration fee is an IN KIND donation to Growing Home. Please bring a jar of PEANUT BUTTER or JELLY as part of your entry cost.
Growing Home serves our neighbors here in Westminster and has an impactful after-school program that will use your donated PB&J right away to feed hungry children so they can focus on learning!
Sure - bring 'em!
You will be timed based on a mass start (everyone starts at the exact same time.) The Webscorer app will be used to record your finish time and will be updated in real time during the event. Download the WEBSCORERFAN app or go to Webscorer.com on your smart phone as soon as you finish and you'll be able to see your time!
Since it is a 'fun run', there are no official 'awards' based on performance. There will be an award for the participant who finishes closest to their predicted time! Other random prizes may be awarded as well!
The course is on Big Dry Creek Trail which is about half concrete and half crushed gravel. There are no street crossings or any portion that is single track. The course is pure 'OUT and BACK.' Please remember to stay to your RIGHT when running to avoid collisions with oncoming racers.
8:15 Bib pick up and donation drop off at Road Runner Sports. You can leave jackets, keys, etc at the 3W Table while you run!
9:00 Run starts at Big Dry Creek Trail at Sensory Park
9:45 Reconvene at Road Runner Sports for snacks and hobnobbing.
We'll announce the WINNER of the prediction run when the final finisher crosses the finish line.
