Get ready to have fun as you walk, run, and jump in an obstacle course like no other! St. Theresa Catholic School is proud to sponsor "Walk for Water," a unique fund-raising event to benefit the community of Kasai.
Kasai is located in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in Africa. The people of Kasai don't just lack running water; they lack water, period. In order to obtain water, women and children walk 5 miles (approximately 4 hours) under the hot sun to a place where rain water has collected in water holes. A spring with clean, pure water was recently discovered 8 miles away from Kasai. Our dream is to provide the people of Kasai with fresh water by channeling the water from the spring to the village. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to get the process started.
