New Year’s Eve Day – Core Values 5K Benefiting The First Tee of North Florida

The mission of The First Tee of North Florida is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. SHIRTS

All runners registered two weeks prior to the race a guaranteed to receive a unisex Long Sleeve shirt of their requested size.   All runners registering within two weeks of the race will receive a shirt as supplies permit.

GOODIE BAGS

All participants will receive a goodie bag with giveaways and vendor/sponsor handouts.

MEDALS

All finishers will receive a race medal

Awards will be presented as follows:

OVERALL AWARDS:

Men - 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place
Women - 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place

MASTERS (Over 40):

Men - 1st Place
Women - 1st Place

AGE GROUP AWARDS - 10 YEAR INTERVALS:

Age group awards will be presented to the top three men and the top three women in the following age groups:
0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 Plus

Runners will only receive one award:  overall, masters, or an age group award.  Placements for awards are based on gun time, not chip time unless otherwise noted.

The following race registration fees include all online processing fees

REGISTRATION FEES:

Early Registration - $25.00 - Through 11/12/15

Regular Registration - $30.00 - 11/13/15 through 12/23/15

Late Registration - $35.00 - 12/24/15 through 12/30/15 at 3:00pm

Day of Race Registration - $35.00 - Cash or Check Only, $38.00 - Credit Cards

DISCOUNTS:

22 Years of age and under - $18.00 until 12/30/15 at 3:00pm

62 Years of age and older - $18.00 until 12/30/15 at 3:00pm

Groups and Families of 4 or more people registering together, save $5.00 per person

The race starts and finishes at Unity Plaza in Riverside, a Life Enhancing Urban & Performance Park in the rising Jacksonville, FL riverfront neighborhood known as Brooklyn.   There will be water stations on the course and at the finish line.  The course is certified with USTAF Course Number FL15141EBM

DAY OF RACE EVENT SCHEDULE

7:30am to 8:45am - Packet, Bib, & Chip Pickup

7:30am to 8:30am - Day of Race Registration (Cash or Check Only)

10:15am - Awards Ceremony

RACE START TIMES

9:00am - 5km Start

DAY OF RACE PACKET PICKUP

Participants may pickup their packets at the race during the times listed on the Event Schedule.

The race will be chip timed using a shoe chip system.   Chips will be distributed at the packet pickup.   All runners must cross the mat at the finish line with their chip properly attached to their shoe to score in the race.  Chips must be returned at the conclusion of the race at the finish line.   Runners not returning chips will be charged a fee of $30.

Race times and dates are subject to change without notice at any time for any reason. In the event the race time or date is changed or if the race is cancelled, for any reason, there will not be any refunds under any circumstances. In the event of bad weather every effort will be made to conduct the race, however it may be moved to an alernate date, time, or cancelled within hours of the starting time. Please be sure to check the PRS Race Timing website and Facebook page for updates prior to departing to the race for any last minute changes or instructions.

Parking is available at Unity Plaza in the gravel lot on the east side of the property that can be accessed from Magnolia or on the west end of Magnolia on the north side of the street.   DO NOT park at the Fresh Market parking lot.
