The F.A.R.M. 5K is scheduled for August 15, 2015 at Ritch Grissom Memorial Wetlands in Viera. The 5K course is run on the senic, well maintained dirt trail through the wetlands. Proceeds from the race will support Food Allergy Resources & Mentoring (F.A.R.M.). F.A.R.M.'s mission is to increase public awareness of the growing food allergy epidemic and to provide a voice for those who live with food allergies. Today, 1 in 13 children suffer with food allergies. That's roughly two in every classroom. Through F.A.R.M.'s outreach and community events, they provide sociallyinclusive atmospheres thatfoster frienship and community support to those who suffer in isolation. F.A.R.M. was founded in 2014 by two parents with a child who suffers with life threatening milk allergy. It is through their personal journey that theyare able to see and fill the void in community support for food allergies.
