The ultimate triathlon lovers week-long camp. *Please note that with the Covid-19 pandemic we are planning on camp as usual but will make the final decision based on where our world is during the summer of 2021.
Watch the Ironman World Championships with us on Saturday and then stay for a week in Paradise training on “the course”
Who doesn't want to share in the excitement of watching the best of the best in our sport. There is no experience quite like this for anyone that enjoys triathlon.
This camp is for you if you love to train and are looking for ways to improve in one or all three of the disciplines of triathlon. You will also learn about nutrition, mental strategies, proper techniques and more. Everyone comes to camp feeling like they won't be at a high enough level or they won't be able to keep up, etc....but not one person has ever left a tri camp with Coach Mark Wilson not feeling inspired, empowered, challenged and accomplished!
Camp officially begins on Sunday evening with a group dinner for meet and greet. Get to know the Coach and the other campers as we share a cook out together. Informal & relaxed. Family members welcome. The Wilson's provide the main dishes and campers are asked to bring a side dish, or a bag of chips, to create a picnic atmosphere.
Home base for camp is the Waikoloa Beach Villas. Our campers have found it convenient and comfortable to stay at a condo within this area but you can certainly stay wherever you find the best fit for you and your family. We meet here each morning to begin the run and then share breakfast together, which is provided by and prepared each day by the Coach himself. We will meet and leave from here for our bike rides and swim sessions each day.
Monday morning begins with instructions for the POSE Method of Running. Filming and evaluating of your run technique followed by the same on your swim.
Cycling each day on the Queen K is fully supported with SAG vehicle. You never have to ride more than you are able to.
Morning runs we work on running form and training tips to keep you injury free for life.
We swim in A Bay and at the Kona Pier. Understanding open water swim, getting comfortable in all types of water, how to train at home to get faster and stronger.
Classroom time is never boring, lots of time for Q&A and great interaction with other campers.
