Chicks with Kicks Virtual 5K/10K/15K is a self-motivated competition that is organized online where you complete a 5K, 10K, or 15K by running, walking or both on a date and time of your choosing, anywhere in the world. Virtual racing can be done on a treadmill at home or at the gym, at the beach, with friends, alone, in the evening, or at the break of dawn, it’s your choice! Whether you are looking to jump start your fitness routine or you’re a competitive runner, a virtual race is a great way to get a 5K, 10K or 15K under your belt.
Yes! Men can participate. What a great way to run in support and honor for a co-worker, family member or friend! Participants can even show further support by giving their hard-earned medal to the person they're supporting.
Chicks with Kicks Virtual 5K/10K/15K benefits the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Their mission is to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime by providing critical funding for innovative clinical and translational research at leading medical centers worldwide, and increasing public awareness about good breast health.
Registration: September 8th - November 15th, 2015
It’s also a great way to add to your medal collection while supporting research for breast cancer. (Results must be submitted by December 1st to receive medal)
Here's what the virtual race entails:
-Register for the race at www.chickswithkicks.org
-Download and print your race bib
-Sometime during October or November 2015, run, walk, skip, cartwheel, or crawl 3.1 miles (5K).
-Submit pictures and post your results HERE no later than December 1st.
-Your gorgeous medal arrives in the mail after the race is over (must post results on Facebook page)
-Breast Cancer Research Foundation gets a big donation from us!

What is a virtual race?
A virtual race is a race that can be ran at any location. You can walk, use the treadmill, run outside or participate in a Chicks with Kicks weekly run! You can run your race at YOUR pace wherever you like, whenever you like.

Choose your distance and course
Choose a date to run and go out and run your race!

Who can participate in a virtual race?
Everybody and anybody! There is no age limit and there are no restrictions. So run, jog, walk, crawl, run alone, run in a group, run with your pet, bike, hike, it doesn’t matter. Just get out there and get moving!
How far do I have to run, walk, or skip to complete each race?
5K = 3.1 miles
10K = 6.2 miles
15K = 9.3 miles
I have a IRUN4 Buddy. Can I get an extra medal?
Absolutely! Additional medals can be purchased for $15 during registration
Why should I do a virtual race?
There are a million reasons to do a virtual race, but here are our favorites:
1) You REALLY like medals
2) A virtual race is much easier to fit into your busy schedule than other races
3) You’re feeling sluggish and could use a little extra motivation to get off the couch
4) Your friends will join me for a run or walk if you give them some extra incentive
5) You want to support a great cause.
Can I complete the virtual race as a group?
The more the merrier!
When will I receive my medal?
Medals will be shipped soon after registration. A confirmation email will be sent with tracking information.
How do you when I’ve completed the race?
The race is based on the honors system, however we encourage you to upload your time to our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1652084785037344/ and/or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Are the race fees tax deductible?
No. Although Chicks with Kicks, Inc. is a charitable organization, donations for events are not tax-deductible. Once all of the race costs are taken care of we will be writing a check to Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Which charity does the proceeds go towards?
It’s Breast Cancer Awareness month! Chicks with Kicks, Inc. is a fundraising partner with Breast Cancer Research Foundation and proceeds will benefit this worthy cause.
