H2O Community Fun Run & Walk

Bring the whole family out for a fun day to support at-risk, low-income families in the Marion community!

Created by Marion Utilities in June of 2013, H2O Community (Help to Our Community) Fund provides low-income families and individuals with financial assistance on their monthly utility bill when experiencing financial hardship, such as losing a job, an injury, or something else that causes financial strain.

At Marion Utilities, we have a strong desire to ensure that the people of Marion have access to high quality utility services and are committed to helping them as much as we can so that they can afford a monthly payment.

We have partnered with The Salvation Army, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide for the needy, to help struggling families by providing a payment supplement to keep their water on. This supplement is need-based and can extend up to $75 per year.

All proceeds from this event will help at-risk, low-income families keep their monthly utilities going!

This event is also part of GO FishIN at Matter Park. Working with the DNR, Marion Utilities is inviting the Marion Community to come out for some time of free fishing, along with activities and games!

8:30 - Kids Fun Run

8:40 – Fun Run 5K

8:45 - 1 mile Fun Walk

9:30 – Awards Ceremony

9:30 - – Go FishIN Starts

10:45 – Post Race Picnic (financial donations appreciated)(Free for Runners & Walkers)
