Half Moon Half

Come run the Half Moon Half a in the dark through the brutal elements! Come test your strength and endurance in this fun 1/2 marathon, 10k, and 5k event and don't forget your headlamp!

The Half Moon Half is a fun 2 race series taking place in the evening at Hawthorn Park. Each race takes place around when the Half Moon is highest in the sky for that month. You can sign up for just one or both races!

Half Moon Half Dates:
- December 19th 2015 - 6:00 p.m. race start
- June 25th 2016 - 9:30 p.m. race start

All 1/2 Marathon finishers will receive a custom diecast 1/2 moon finisher medal which will form a full moon medal if you complete both races. All overall and age group winners in all races (5k, 10k, 1/2 marathon) will receive Gold, Silver, or Bronze 1/2 moon medals with your placement inscribed in them which will form a full moon if you win an award at both races. Be sure to sign up early to receive the best race prices! There is also an option to sign up for both 1/2 marathons at the same time!

Prices will increase on the following dates for the Winter Race.
- September 1st
- December 1st

Prices will increase on the following dates for the Summer Race.
- April 1st
- June 1st

1/2 Marathon competitors will receive
- Custom Bib# (register by December 1st to receive your name on your custom bib#!)
- Disposable Timing Chip
- Long sleeve cotton shirt for the winter race and a short sleeve tech shirt for the summer race
- Custom Diecast finisher medal
- 4 Timing split points
- On course hydration/aid stations
- Hot Post Race food and refreshments for the Winter race and Cool ones for the Summer race!
(The 1/2 marathon will be limited to 150 competitors for this 1st year event)

10k competitors will receive
- Custom Bib# (register by December 1st to receive your name on your custom bib#!)
- Disposable Timing Chip
- Long sleeve cotton shirt for the winter race and a short sleeve tech shirt for the summer race
- 2 Timing split points
- On course hydration/aid stations
- Hot Post Race food and refreshments for the Winter race and Cool ones for the Summer race!

5k competitors will receive
- Custom Bib# (register by December 1st to receive your name on your custom bib#!)
- Disposable Timing Chip
- Long sleeve cotton shirt for the winter race and a short sleeve tech shirt for the summer race
- Overall Accumulated Time
- On course hydration/aid stations
- Hot Post Race food and refreshments for the Winter race and Cool ones for the Summer race!
