Southern Lights Stroll 5K

Lace up, head out and help us turn on the lights! The Kentucky Horse Park Foundation invites you to help us set the Holiday Season in motion as you join us for the 2022 Southern Lights Stroll on Sunday, November 20th! The 5K competitive chipped race will start at 6:00pm, and the Stroll (untimed walk) starting at 6:15.

Imagine seeing the holiday lights on foot, set in the magnificent surroundings of the Kentucky Horse Park. This year we have teamed up with 3 Way Racing to provide chip timing for our competitive 5K race, complete with awards.

We are excited to host our first annual Christmas Critters Costume Competition. Have your mutt strut in their best holiday gear & be eligible to win a prize! Meet us in front of the Salyer at 5:15 to register your pet for the event! 

A coat drive will be held in conjunction with this event to help those affected by the flooding in Eastern Kentucky. 

Shirts are limited to the first 2000 adults registered.

Children 12 and under are free. Youth ages 7 - 12 can receive a shirt if registered as an adult. 

Early packet pickup will be in the Visitor Information Center on the following dates:

• Thursday, November 17th 4-7 pm
• Friday, November 18th 4-7 pm
• Packet pickup will begin at 4:30 on race day (Sunday, Nov. 20)
