Nada 8K is a Different Light at the End of the Tunnel this year

The 2020 Nada Tunnel 8K will be different this year. This is extraordinary times and the Coronavirus / COVID-19 pandemic is still with us. We are following Local, State, Federal, and Center for Disease Control guidelines and  doing everything we can to protect you, our volunteers, while still supporting the small businesses, and the Search and Rescue Teams of the Red River Gorge. The folks who choose to live here have always had challenges and still live in a very much financially distressed Appalachian Mountains Region. We hope you stick with us and  have fun with this MY WAY NADA TUNNEL/ Virtual 8K.

Here Are Your Options:

You can still do a NADA TUNNEL 8K and Do It YOUR WAY !!... push the stroller, walk with your family, run with your pet. You pick the location, and when you want to do it. Send in results and a picture then get your "There is Light at the End of the Tunnel ! No Stopping Me!  I DID IT MY WAY! NADA TUNNEL 8K " T-shirt and Finisher Certificate.

1) Wear Green / KY's color for Compassion/ Renewal / the Color of the Forests...Some say they are going to paint their face / add temporary green color to their hair /wear ribbons/ make a goofy green hat...You Decide/ Make it You / and Make it FUN!

2) Run your 8K/ Your Way....You decide when and where. Split it up, or do all at once.Then share your pictures and time, or a simple "I DID IT!!"   BY JUNE 30th.Get through the Tunnel...take picture in a tent with the kids, run under a grapevine, or a trellis, a bridge, under the kitchen table, just get through any tunnel you can find! 

3) Download and Print your Finisher's Certificate and we will  mail your T-shirt (Make shirts in July, Ship by Aug 1st )

4) Show off the picture of you in your Nada Tunnel 8K Survivor's T-Shirt ! Show Everyone that You survived and Thrived through the tunnel of COVID-19!

 

All profit goes to Search and Rescue Teams of the Red River Gorge. We appreciate that you are sticking with us and we look forward to giving you a high five at next year's race.

You understand that events are expensive, even when cancelled, and you want us to keep your registration for the Rescue Teams . We understand these are difficult times. Because of  COVID=19 and Safety precautions this cancellation was beyond our control also. You understand that there have already been costs to the race and we hate that we are not able to do this race in person. We hope you will come to the Gorge when it reopens and join us next time.

Description

Those already registered can still Help the Search and Rescue Teams of Eastern Ky by doing your NADA TUNNEL 8K Virtually. The Gorge is still closed due to COVID 19, but you can keep healthy and still make a difference for so many. Registration was closed early due to the pandemic, and we are following Health and Safety Guideline from our local, state, federal and CDC leaders. Because you signed up early, you will be the only ones to get this NADA TUNNEL 8K - MY WAY 2020 Finisher's Certificate and T-Shirt.

Pick your own Tunnel to run through... under the table, through a grape arbor or trellis, beneath a bridge...Make your own tunnel and Just have fun.

Run or Walk an 8K Your Way...with your kids, your dog... wearing your KY Green to show the color of compassion, and renewal; the color of our forests. Put green on your face, in your hair, just show it ! Pick  any location you choose between June 1st and June 30th and do this. Do it all at once or spread it out over a few days.

Then send in your time or a simple I DID IT! to get your 2020 NADA TUNNEL 8K- MY WAY Finisher's Certificate and T-shirt.
