With the highest covid positivity rates in the state and daily infections that rival the beginning of the pandemic, Silver Lining Fitness is in agreement to “postpone” the the Lakeside Country Club Kid’s Triathlon until after the state covid mandate has been lifted. Producing an event for youth ages 4-12yrs takes on heightened preparation and we have reviewed all USATriathlon Covid Protocal. You may have noticed we closed registration early with a limit of 75 participants. We are ready to produce your event but we have a greater responsibility to your families, volunteers, location staff and sponsors to provide the safest possible event. As soon as the state-wide mask mandate has been lifted (it will signal improved conditions) our goal is to include a youth clinic and follow with the kid’s tri soon after.

Because of the high Covid positivity rates in our area and a recommendation of the USAT Covid protocol, we closed registration to limit the number of participants, families and volunteer staff.
Our first responsibility is to provide a safe event for our youth participants.

Lakeside Country Club Kid's Triathlon

Event Details:
The Lakeside Country Club Kids Triathlon swim begins at Lakeside Country Club and then transitions the bike and run course along Lake Pontchartrain. The triathlons are USAT sanctioned for ages 4-12 (age of child on December 31, 2021). All kids will receive finishers medals and awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd of each age group. Food will be provided by Robert Fresh Market.
Early Bird registration at the low fee of $40 for the first 2 weeks!
Registration Dates & Fees:
From June 6 - June 19 $40
From June 20 - July 31 $50
From August 1 - August 5 $60
Only 150 slots open for the triathlon. Register early to get your slot!

4-5 Age Group: Must be between the ages of 4-5 on or before 12/31/21
6-8 Age Group: Must be between the ages of 6-8 on or before 12/31/21
9-12 Age Group: Must be between the ages of 9-12 on or before 12/31/21

Cancellation & Refund Policy:
Lakeside Country Club Kids Triathlon has a NO REFUND policy unless the event is cancelled by government agencies in advance due to COVID-19 or other similar public health concerns:
The planning and production of this event incurs costs for rent, storage, utilities, insurance, staff, marketing, medals, t-shirts, bibs, etc. months in advance of the event.
We can offer refunds if the event is cancelled by government agencies in advance due to COVID-19 or other similar public health concerns on the following schedule:
1 Month out from race date: 20 percent refund of original fee paid
Please note that we do not offer any refunds or discount codes if you cancel your registration for this event.

USAT SANCTIONED EVENT
USAT Sanctioned Event
USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required. USA Triathlon provides rules, guidance and governance to set the standard for safe and fair multi-sport races. RULES: This event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. Helmets must be worn! All USA Triathlon Rules will be in effect and enforced for the Triathlon. SORRY NO REFUNDS. NON USA TRIATHLON MEMBERS MUST ADD $10 FOR A ONE-DAY MEMBERSHIP. USA TRIATHLON CARD MUST BE SHOWN AT PACKET PICK-UP.
UNREGISTERED PARTICIPANTS (Section 3.5) Any person who participates in any portion of a sanctioned event without first properly registering and paying any required registration fee shall be suspended or barred from membership in USA Triathlon and barred from participation in any sanctioned event for a period of one year. Any person who in any way assists another athlete to violate Section 3.5a by providing or selling a race number to that athlete shall be suspended or barred from membership in USA Triathlon and barred from participation in any sanctioned event for a period of up to one year. Any second violation of this Section shall result in a lifetime suspension or ban from membership in USA Triathlon.
