The 2023 Mid-Winter 10 Mile Classic will be race #1 for the 2023 Maine Track Club Grand Prix series. Points will be awarded based on performance at each MTC race, and prizes and bragging rights will be given out at the end of the year at the Annual Banquet.
The gun will fire on Sunday, February 5th, 2023 at 9:45 a.m. The start and finish lines are at Cape Elizabeth High School at 345 Ocean House Rd.
We will also have a virtual racing option for the week leading up to the race, where you can run 10 outdoor miles at any time from January 30 through February 5th, 2023. You must report your run by 11:59pm on February 5th.
You may run both the virtual and in person options for the race, but you may not count the in person race as your virtual result. They must be run separately. You will only get credit for one event (in person or virtual) for the Maine Track Club Grand Prix.
Registration will in 3 waves this year, though we are pushing it back a couple weeks later than usual.
If you want to run the virtual #MWCinTheWild option, you can register beginning on Wednesday, December 7th at 7:00 a.m. until the start of the in-person race on February 5th at 9:45am.
Registration will cost $25 for the in person race and $10 for the virtual race, with proceeds benefiting the Maine Track Club and local high school running teams (based on runner and volunteer zip codes.)
We will have long sleeve shirts available for an additional $15 if you would like to purchase one at registration. This year's race shirts will have two separate colors. The women's cut will be "Cranberry", and the unisex/men's cut will be "Trail" (brown).
Packet Pickup will be on race day only starting at 7:00 a.m.
