Description
The South Portland MAINEiacs 5K started as an initiative to increase awareness about the presence of the two Air National Guard (ANG) units located in South Portland. Much of the local community is not aware that for decades 50 Western Ave has been the home of the 243rd and 265th ANG units and hundreds of Airmen.
Since community involvement and volunteerism is a value we instill in all our Airmen, we are hosting a 5K and inviting the public to help promote that culture.
