Join us for the 39th Annual Rhoades McKee Reeds Lake Triathlon/Duathlon/Aquabike on the shores of Beautiful Reeds Lake. This premier West Michigan event consists of a Sprint Distance Triathlon, Duathlon, Aqua Bike and our Elite Sprint Championship wave.

Packet Pick-Up is on Friday, September 8th from 3:30pm until 6:30pm and Saturday, September 9th from 6:30am until 7:30am - at East Grand Rapids Parks & Recreation Department (750 Lakeside Dr. SE). Body Marking will be available Friday night during packet pick-up and on race day. Avoid the crowd Saturday morning and get marked Friday night!
Elite Sprint Championship Wave Information
An elite class of athletes who have the skills, ability and drive to compete at the highest caliber of competition. Participants in the Elite Sprint Championship Wave will have the opportunity to complete the Rhoades McKee Reeds Lake Triathlon with like-minded champions on an unencumbered course. Participants wishing to qualify for this wave must meet the time standards below and submit an application.
Qualifying male time 1:20.00
Qualifying female time 1:30.00
Athletes wishing to be in the Elite Sprint Championship Wave will need to email race director, Betsy Granstra bgranstra@eastgr.org with their intent and previous race times and complete an application at eastgr.org/triathlon
Swim: U shaped course in beautiful Reeds Lake
Bike: Sprint Distance will do two loops around Reeds Lake. Course will include Hall St, Plymouth St and Wealthy St (through downtown).
Run: Will be through neighborhoods in East Grand Rapids.

By supporting i understand, you help to erase the stigma and judgement associated with mental illness and suicide. Based in Ada, Michigan, i understand provides compassionate comfort to individuals and communities by hosting monthly educational awareness events. Through a partnership with Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, i understand delivers mental health care packages to patients in West Michigan and families around the world. i understand was created by Vonnie Woodrick in 2014 in loving memory of her husband Rob who lost his battle with depression in 2003
