The Heights of Hope 5K is an end of the summer race that coincides with the conclusion of WHOA! which is a health and fitness program for youth in the Holland Heights community. All proceeds raised from this race directly turn around and support our youth health initiatives. Throughout the course of the summer, over 75 youth set goals and earn points to work towards earning new water bottles, brand new running shoes, and a trip to camp. The Holland Heights community does a fabulous job of supporting them throughout the summer, and this is one final opportunity to cheer these kids on! It is a great race for serious runners, young runners, new runners, walkers, families…everyone has a spot in this event.
We encourage participants to consider sponsoring the entry of a WHOA! kid for $10 which will cover their race fee and t-shirt expense as well as additional WHOA expenses (new tennis shoes, water bottles, and camp).
