Wine & Dine - Canine 5K Run/Walk

The First Ever Wine & Dine - Canine 5K Run/Walk is a non-timed event as part of Vac & Dash's Dog Days of Summer Extravaganza.  The run/walk will be held on Sunday August 23rd at 6:00 pm at Vac & Dash.  (154 S. First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001)

You can participate with or without a dog.  Hot dogs and snacks will be served after the event.  We will have a drawing for bottles of wine from Dennis Vineyards and Stony Gap Vineyards. (You must be 21 to win a bottle of wine.)

The course will be a down and back course, with a 2-mile option.  Most of the event will be held on the Roger Snyder Greenway.  Please BYOPS (Bring Your Own Pooper Scooper or baggie.)

During the month of August, $5.00 of every pair of shoe purchased at Vac & Dash is going to be donated to the Stanly County Humane Society as part of our Shop Local - Give Local Campaign. (In July Vac & Dash donated $420.00 to the United Way of Stanly County as we sold 84 pair of shoes.

If you do decide to "Run With Your Best Friend" please note the following:

Limit one dog per person  - Dog bust be atleast 6 months old.  Dog must be up to date on vaccines. Dog must be trained/well behaived and kept on a leash at all times.  (Leash must not be longer thatn 6 feet.)

Registration is $15.00 until August 19th.  $20.00 after.
