Participants in the Asheville Marathon will enjoy European Gardens, exquisite views of Biltmore House, manicured grounds and everything that is the Civilized Side of the Estate for the first half of the event. In the second half of the event, runners will leavethe European-style formal gardens in their wake as they move into a much different passageway: one encompassed by untamed foliage and less civilized terrain. Here, on the wild side of Biltmore, they will see what few eyes have seen, step where few feet have trod, and find a diverse kind of Biltmore experience awaiting them as they try to avoid hitting the wall and etch their names alongside that of Pheidippides in the annals of Marathon history.
NEW FOR 2016, the Asheville Marathon & Asheville Half Marathon events at Biltmore Estate will be held on separate days, so the bravest of runners can try their hands at a 40-mile weekend test of grit and endurance!
Registration will be made available at IMathlete.com. For more information, please visit http://ashevillemarathon.com/, or contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
