Description

The Ridgewood Try a Tri for Hospice is a great late season pool-swim triathlon. The event will take place at the Ridgewood Swim and Tennis Club, located in Guilford County, just outside of Greensboro, NC. Thanks to our generous sponsors, 100% of your race entry fee will go directly to AuthoraCare Hospice (formally HPCG). The race begins with a 200-meter swim; athletes then will transition to a rolling 10-mile bike (roads are open to traffic) and finish with an out and back rolling 2-mile run in the Ridgewood neighborhood. If you are new to the sport of triathlon or looking for a short, fast course, this is the event for you. Please note that this event SOLD OUT in 2019 and we have placed a cap of 150 racers for 2023—don’t miss out, sign-up early!

Note: Anyone who registers after 8:00 PM on Friday 9/1/2023 will be added to the back of the Swim Start Lineup

Parking

Limited parking will be available in the RW club house lot and in the grass field below the club house. Overflow parking (TBA) will then be available. Please DO NOT park along James Doak Parkway.

Schedule of Events

Race Day – Saturday, Sept 2nd

6:00 AM – Transition area opens
6:15 AM – Race-day registration (only if available spots) and packet pick-up opens at the Ridgewood Club House
7:30 AM – Race-day registration (only if available spots) and packet pick-up closes
7:30 AM – Transition area closes
7:40 AM — Pre-race meeting & swim line-up on the pool deck
8:00 AM – Race Start
10:00 AM – Projected awards ceremony (will be adjusted based on last finisher’s time)
