Unfortunately this event has been cancelled for 2017 due to low interest. Thanks to those who had already registered, we will make sure you get a refund! Trivium Racing will also be making a donation to the scholarship fund for Allison Brown.
In 2017 we are again excited to have a cross country race as part of our series. The Cross Country Classic is an opportunity for many of us to reminisce back to the days of high school running on freshly cut grass as a team. Come on out and run on one of the most well groomed cross country courses in the southeast and have the opportunity to earn your letter!
We are again running our 2017 Cross country event in honor of a bright young lady, Allison Brown, who sadly passed away due to an unknown heart condition during practice for the Southern Guilford High School's Cross Country Team in August of 2015 just before her freshman year. Allison was a great student and athlete and loved to compete. She had plans to become a physical education teacher and coach after college. In the words of her mother, "She wanted to spread her passion to young people! It is our hope that when you run...that you run with a passion as if it was your last race. Compete and compete well. And, as Allison was always known for doing- laugh and smile and enjoy the gift of the sport!" We are honored to be helping Allison's family to raise money for a scholorship fund which will provide assistance to other student athletes in the honor of this "free-spirit who lived her life to the fullest every day," as her step-mother described her.
