Description
The 3rd Annual NES Turkey Trot is held every November to raise money for Newport Elementary School's after school running program, JUST RUN. The program is offered free of charge to boys/girls in 4th and 5th grade at Newport Elementary. It is a 10 week program at our school where the students start out running about 10 minutes of our practices and then work their way up to running the 5K in November.
All money raised from his race helps support our running program and allows us to offer not only the program but also shoes/clothes to students in need throughout the school year. It is a great opportunity to everyone involved and the students really take a lot away from this experience!
Please help us continue to keep this program "running" and provide our students with a great after school activity!
