In Memory of Greg File

Gregory Allen File, 70, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, after a brave battle with Lou Gehrig's disease.

His strong faith in God gave him strength and courage to face each day as the disease progressed and kept his spirits uplifted.  Greg was a lifelong member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church.

Greg was a veteran of the US Army. He was a Nike Missile Radar Specialist and earned the National Defense Service Medal and Expert Badge.

Greg enjoyed going to classic car shows, fishing, traveling, building houses, woodworking, telling jokes, and sharing short stories that he had written with family and friends.

He was self-employed as a contractor and co-owner of Greg and Jim File Construction.

Greg is remembered as a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend, always giving of himself to help others, and will be deeply missed.

A donation will be made to the ALS Association in Greg’s memory.

In Support of Tim Driggers

Tim and Emily Driggers have been married for 13 years and have two very active sons, Finley (10) and Declan (1).  They enjoy spending time with each other and with their family.  When Emily was six months pregnant with Declan, Tim was diagnosed with cancer.  Since then, he has faced two surgeries and continues to undergo treatments to help clear existing melanoma cells and prevent any further spread of the disease.

Tim is employed by Power Curbers in Salisbury, and Emily teaches 4th grade at Morgan Elementary School.
