Description
The LIVE Superhero Event is being held in Memory of and to celebrate Matthew W. Stahl's birthday!
Our event is held on the 4th Saturday in June, rain or shine at Bridgewater Church 10142 State Rt 167 Montrose, PA 18801 under their pavilion. If raining, the event will be held in the church.
Our 2023 beneficiary is Friends of Salt Springs Park, Inc.
Mission statement: "The Friends of Salt Springs Park will maintain the unspoiled, rural character of the park created by the Wheaton family. The Friends will provide opportunities to enjoy healthy outdoor recreation and education while conserving the natural, scenic, aesthetic, and historical values of the park."
The Friends pay for about 97% of all operating, maintenance, and improvement costs at Salt Springs State Park and have done so since 1994. Click HERE to read more about what Friends of Salt Springs Park, Inc

THE DETAILS:

Day of Registration and preregistration check-in. Waivers must be signed for children to participate in kids' activities. If minors would like to walk the 5k course with their parents, they do not need to register for the run/walk, however, they will not receive a bib nor will they be timed and eligible for runners awards.

5K run/walk: $30 per registrant, MWS Race Team members receive a $5 discount (automatically deducted at check-out)

Raffle baskets: General Raffles are $1/Ticket or 6 tickets for $5; Special raffles are $5/ticket. Sales open at 8 am. Winners will be drawn after awards at approximately 10:45 am. You do not have to be present to win.

$5 Lunch includes: Chicken or Beef Spiedie sub, soda, and chips (can be pre-purchased during registration for any run/walk and kids events)

FREE superhero obstacle course (open throughout the whole event, must sign a waiver)

FREE Kids fun run, following 5K (must sign a waiver, register for free online to skip the lines the day of)

FREE Ice Cream Sundaes

Medals for overall M & F and top 3 M & F in all age groups:

Best Costume Prizes! Individual, couple and group categories (includes our 4-legged friends!)
We encourage EVERYONE to wear a Superhero Costume, Cape, or t-shirt!!!!
The cut-off date for the race t-shirt is June 1st. NO exceptions
The run will be held rain or shine!

MWS Race Team Association is a 501(c)(3) Non-profit Organization.
Lifetime membership is $10 (plus $1 registration fee) for both Individual Membership and Family Membership (register up to 10 people for one fee). As a member, you receive a discount on any race we organize and updates on fundraising events that we are involved in. Members also have the ability to nominate officers in addition to voting rights.
Even if you do not wish to become an official member, you can still purchase a shirt! Please email us @ info@MWSRaceTeam.org if you would like to purchase a shirt.
