Dessin Doggie Dash

Looking for something unique to do this summer? Join our furry friends along the trails of Prompton State Park located in Pompton, PA for a fun walk/run! The race begins near the pavilion of the dam and goes along 3.1 miles of rugged terrain. Worried about the heat or terrain? Don't be! The course will be professionally marked to ensure everyone stays on the intended track. The course will also be monitored in places by medics just in case someone needs assistance or to be redirected in the correct direction. Water stations will also be provided (for both dogs and humans)! A few water activities, such as doggie pools and squirt guns, will be available next to the lake for all the adventurers out there. Don't want to walk or run? That's okay! Basket Raffles, a 50/50, vendors, music, games, and a few Dessin residents will also be at the pavilion!  All proceeds benefit the medical fund of Dessin Animal Shelter located in Honesdale, PA. Awards and Prizes will be given to the overall top male and female runners, top 3 dogs, and top three male and females in the following age categories: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
