This 5K walk/run event will held on the Yough Rail Trail beginning at the Smithton trailhead - the course is fast and flat. Children 12 and under may participate in the Strong Kids 1 mile event for a prize! Both races are supported by The Smithton American Legion Post 790 and Team Red, White & Blue. All proceeds will be donated to the Pennsylvania Army National Guard’s Unit Hardship Fund.

Going South on Route 51 (from Pittsburgh) Make left at light for Smithton. Trailhead is 1.6 miles. You will pass a small hotel on your right and Cedarbrook Golf Course on your left. Turn left directly before the Smithton bridge. Don’t cross the bridge! There is no trailhead sign, so we will have a Run as One directional sign and a flag at the entrance. Parking is plentiful.
Going North on Route 51 (from Uniontown) Make right at light for Smithton. Trailhead is 1.6 miles. You will pass a small hotel on your right and Cedarbrook Golf Course on your left. Going West on Route 70 (from New Stanton) Take exit #46A towards Uniontown onto route 51 South. Make a LEFT at second light towards Smithton. Trailhead is approximately 1.6 miles.
