A fun run/walk that is taking place in July 11th at Sturgis, SD. It will start at 10:00am at the Sturgis City Park. Entery will be $25 per person if you enter early. On the day of the race entery will be raised to $30 per person. There will be both a 5k and 10k route. The 5k route is for the walkers which will follow the Sturgis bike path, into famous Fort Meade, and will end back at the city park. The 10k route is for the runners, it follows the centenial trail throught the hills behind Fort Meade and will end back at the city park.
This race is dedicated to Branndon Delzer. Branndon was a freshman at Sturgis Brown High School when he was involved in a car accident and passed away. He was an outstanding athlete in the comunity. Branndon was a member of both the track team, the wrestling team, and the cross country team. One of his favoite things to was run and his favoite trail to run was known a Malibu, which is the trail that this race follows. The money made from this event will go towards the Delzer Scholarship Fund.
