2020 Event Cancelled Due to Covid-19 Pandemic
It is with a heavy heart that we announce this race is cancelled for 2020.
We know that you have probably received several of these messages over the past couple months, and it gives us no pleasure to be writing another one ourselves. Due to the continued spread of COVID-19 and the danger posed by large gatherings, we will be unable to produce The Knoxville Moonlight Bootlegger 5k in 2020. There is a lot of planning and preparation that goes into producing this particular event and we are devastated that the work will not come to fruition this year. The event will happen again in the summer of 2021. For our athletes who are already registered for the 2020 event, we have a few choices for you.
- Athletes can receive a full refund for their 2020 event registration, excluding processing fees
- Athletes can continue to support this great event and defer their registration to the 2021 event.
- Athletes can donate their registration fees to the race.
Athletes signed up must provide a respond by 6/30 with which option they would like. Athletes who do not respond by that date will automatically be deferred to the 2021 event.

Call it White Lightning, call it Mountain Dew, or Hooch. Whatever you call it Moonshine is a part of the Heritage of Tennessee and the perfect setting for The Moonlight Bootlegger 5K! Just like our bootleggin’ ancestors, see if you can make it through the moonlit woods to get to the stompin’ grounds, where you can enjoy some moonshine cocktails and flatfoot it to live music.

Race Day Schedule
- Packet Pickup: 6:50 PM - 8:40 PM
- Prerace meeting: 8:50 PM
- Race Start: 9:00 PM (each consecutive wave will start 3 minutes apart)
- Awards: Approx. 10:15 PM

Awards
The Moonlight Bootlegger 5K will be chip timed.
Awards to the top 3 overall males and top 3 overall females. Awards to the top 3 males and females in the following age groups in each race: 20 and under, 21-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+.

Important Message Regarding COVID-19 (novel coronavirus)
We at Trivium Racing are still working hard to make sure we have a great event for you in July. While planning continues, athletes should be aware that the potential for cancellation or postponement still exists due to Covid-19. There are also certain modifications that may be made to mitigate the health risks posed by large group events if the event does go forward. We may be in unfamiliar territory, but trust that we will do everything we can to have a safe and fun event as promised. Please make sure you are aware of our refund policy prior to signing up. We hope to see everyone on July 18th, 2020!
