Gamma Phive-K is Gamma Phi Beta-Zeta Lambda's second annual 5K run/1K walk. Last year it was held on the TAMUCC campus and raised over $1,500 for our philanthropy, Building Strong Girls. Our philanthropic partner is Girls on the Run. The mission of Girls on the Run is to "inpsire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running." We are 100% non-profit so all our money that we raise gets directly sent towards our philanthropy. This year our event will be in dowtown Corpus Christi at Cole Park. We are excited to not only include the TAMUCC school community but the community of Corpus Christi as well. It is an 80s/90s retro theme so we encourage all to dress up in their best 80s/90s gear and come out for a great time! There will be a DJ as well as face painting. All ages are welcomed and there will be food and water for the runners/walkers.
