The Run for the WASP is a supported event by the Wounded Warrior Project. The race is a timed 5K Run, a 1.3 mile Fun Run, and 1 mile Kid Run with U.S. Flags outlining the course and plenty of water and snacks for all the participants. The Veterans’ Day Run for the WASP will be kicked off by a flyover with the Museum’s WWII Stearman PT-17 and PT-19, while accompanied by our National Anthem. The National WASP WWII Museum seeks to educate and inspire all generations with the story of the Women Airforce Service Pilots – the first women to fly America’s military aircraft – who forever changed the role of women in aviation. The National WASP WWII Museum will be open and free of charge from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
