2nd Annual Big Game 5K Run / Walk

WHAT
A 5K supporting the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lynchburg. Start your “new” year off with some extra motivation to stay fit and support one of Lynchburg’s most dynamic non-profits. Our venue and course will use the Percival's Island Natural Area and Blackwater Creek Bikeway. The race distance is a 5K (3.1 miles)!  We have a new theme...the Big Game 5K! Wear your favorite team jersey or the Big Day 5K #2 long-sleeve shirt.  

We want our community to have fun, exercise and support the Club's mission of doing "Whatever It Takes to Build Great Futures" by creating a place where youth and teens learn to grow and become leaders in the community.

REFUND POLICY
Registration fees and purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable. Entries cannot be transferred to another participant or deferred to another event, or the same event but another year.

INCLEMENT WEATHER DATE
If this event is canceled due to weather. It will be rescheduled for Saturday, February 18th.

PACKET PICKUP
Friday, February 10th @ the Boys & Girls Club, 1101 Madison Street, Lynchburg, VA  434-846-1111
10am to 6pm.

Saturday, February 11th (RACE DAY), 9am - 9:30am, at the Start / Finish area, Percival's Island, 1600 Concord Turnpike (downtown), Lynchburg, VA 

T-SHIRTS
Participants registered by Tuesday, January 17th are guaranteed a commemorative, long sleeve,  t-shirt. Extras will be available on a first-come basis at packet pickup.

AWARDS
Top Overall Male and Top Overall Female
Top Male & Female in each age group. 13-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 & older Prizes to be announced
12 & under participants will receive finisher medal.

COURSE
Out and Back on Percival's Island (Blackwater Creek Bikeway).  Surface is paved, flat, and fast.
