The first-ever "THIN MINT SPRINT" is coming to Lewisburg! Hosted by the Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council (GSBDC), this fun 5k Run/Walk will be accompanied by a family-friendly "Healthy Habits" community fair that will include fun, health-related and back-to-school exhibits, demonstrations and activities.
The 5k race will appeal to avid runners as well as novices. Run, walk, skip, dance or crawl to the Finish Line! The goal is to have fun, all while raising money for a great cause! Gather up teams for added fun and don't forget to wear your Girl Scout green, dress up like your favorite cookie, or show off your GIrl Scout memorabilia.
Awards will be given to the top male & female runners, plus EVERYONE who crosses the Finish Line gets a box of Thin Mints! Additional awards will include prizes for largest team, best cookie costume and best Girl Scout spirit.
The "THIN MINT SPRINT" is a fundriaser for GSBDC. Each year, the council provides over $20,000 in financial assistance to underserved and at-risk girls so they can participate in our quality programming. No girl is ever turned away due to her family's inability to pay. YOUR participation in this 5k will help make Girl Scouting possible for hundreds of girls.
The "Healthy Habits" fair is FREE to the public.
