The 3rd annual Mind and Body 5K walk & run, hosted by Wedgewood Family Practice, will take place on Saturday October 17th, 2015. The times of the specific races are as follows:
5K Walk: 9 AM
5K Run: 9:30 AM
Kids Fun Run: 10 AM
Registration: Online registration through RunSignUp.com will be open until 10/14/15. You can also sign up by paper registration; the paper registation forms are uploaded for each race. Finally, there is race-day registration starting at 8 AM on the 17th, for $25.
Packet pick-up: will be in the back parking lot of Wedgewood Family Practice. Registration and Packet pick-up starts at 8 AM and ends at 9:15 AM (Please note that if you are participating in the 5K WALK, you will want to register before 8:45 AM in order to be at the starting line in time for your 9 AM start).
The start of the race will take place at the Suncrest Wedgewood Family Practice building, which is located at the following address:

Benefits: To promote both physical and mental health, the Mind and Body 5K will split the proceeds equally between the Cure Kids Cancer Fund and the Rape and Domestic Violence Information Center
Course: The 5k course is a rolling course that is mostly out and back, with a small loop near the halfway point.
Timing: provided by Don Parks Timing Services
Kid’s stuff: there will be a half mile fun run for children under twelve years old after the participants of the 5k Walk and Run have finished, around 10 AM. All who register by 10/1/15 will be guaranteed a finishers ribbon. There will also be a kid's tent present with games and a craft.
Other: to ensure your safety there no dogs or strollers allowed on the course.
T-shirts: those registered by 10/1/15for the 5k race are guaranteed a t-shirt. Those participating in the kid’s fun run do not receive t-shirts.
Prizes: There will be medals for the first three male and female finishers overall, both for the walk and the run. There will be medals for the first female and male runner in the following age groups:
14 and under, 15 - 24, 29-34, 35-44, 45 -54, 55-64, 65 and over
All participants in the fun run get participation ribbons.
